Avebury

Less famous than Stonehenge, the vast National Trust stone circle at Avebury is no less impressive and some would say even more mysterious. With a massive ditch and external bank henge measuring 421m in diameter and 1.35 km in circumference, Avebury is approximately four times the size of Stonehenge. One of Europe's largest prehistoric stone circles, Avebury has been voted as England's third most spiritual place.
